I’m apologising now for the Polyvore posts last week.  I’ve just discovered Polyvore and it’s my new addiction!  I’ve loved creating outfits and looks for difference occasions.  Here are a few I’ve put together for lunch dates and casual outings – like to the park.  I’ve used items I already have, some that are on my wish list for AW15 and others that are similar to things I already own from previous seasons.

This teams some things I already own (black leather loafers, Chloe Marcie bag, Mulberry scarf, Links of London earrings, with a loose, light grey batwing top, charcoal chunky knit cardigan and black skinny jeans. Great for meeting friends for lunch or anywhere you need a smart casual look.

I have most of these items already. I’m trying to find ways of using some of my summer items for a bit longer, so the M&S white, embellished skirt that I have can be teamed with my new Seasalt jumper and I can then add in my Mulberry Bayswater bag, Louis Vuitton leopard print scarf, tan boots and some sunnies!

I love the yellow rain jackets that are in the shops right now. Joules and Seasalt do some fantastic ones, but I’ve got a cheaper version, than the one shown here, that I got in Sainsbury’s (Tu range) earlier in the year. I’ll be teaming it with jeans and a Breton top and adding ankle boots and a classic tan saddle bag to complete the casual (and practical) look.

Recent purchase (i.e. 2 days ago) was the great navy knit cape from Jigsaw pictured here. I’ll put this together with jeans and a Breton, my Mulberry Bayswater bag and I really like these tan Chelsea boots that I’ve seen in Marks and Spencer – they’re on my wish list!

If you’ve read one of my earlier posts, you’ll know that I love Bretons, so they are a recurring theme in my wardrobe. Here I put a Breton (Seasalt) with a contrasting floral skirt (I have similar, but this one is from Cath Kidston) and add a denim jacket against the coming cooler evenings/days. Burgundy seems to be one of the key AW15 colours, so I’ve put it with a burgundy leather micro saddle bag from Zatchels (just ordered this in the sale), a snood and leather sneakers from Moda in Pelle (something else to add to the wish list!).

The item I was most drawn to in Marks and Spencer’s Autograph range’s AW15 collection was this green luxe knit v neck sweater. It sold out just over a week ago, but they must have got more in as I’ve managed to order it and picked it up a few days ago. I’m teaming this with this great sleeveless waterfall jacket (I bought this in Fenwick’s, Newcastle but you can find them online too). Black jeans, ankle boots and my Chloe Marcie bag finish off this smart casual look.

Winter shorts in wool mix fabric? Over 40? I tried these on in Marks and Spencer the other day. I’m still not 100% sure if they’re right for me and I might have to go and try them on again. I’d wear opaque tights with these and team with a casual smart t shirt top in beige or camel (these shades compliment burgundy really well! Burgundy accessories and a more casual coat from Jaeger complete this outfit. The jury is still out on the shorts!

Hobbs do fantastic trench coats in lots of gorgeous colours. I have this one which I bought earlier in the summer and would wear this over the pale grey batwing knit from Phase Eight and a pair of black skinny jeans. Black loafers, Chanel bag, bright red necklace (Phase Eight) and sunnies finish the look.

Another great Seasalt rain jacket. I like this shade too, but probably won’t buy it this season. It goes well with the jeans and Seasalt jumper I bought recently though!

Using the gorgeous green luxe knit v neck I recently purchased in Marks and Spencer I would team with jeans and a black leather biker jacket similar to this one (the one I own is from Jaeger). I like the silver Moda in Pelle high top sneakers and they give the outfit a playful edge. Bag from Laura Ashley’s AW15 range.

Another Seasalt rain jacket – you can see how I’m taken with them…. I particularly like the ochre top in this set. I saw it in Jigsaw a week or so again and it’s another good autumnal colour.

I just ‘clipped’ the coat off Polyvore, but I have a similar style in charcoal from Jaeger last season. I like cashmere v necks. This one is from John Lewis but I have a similar one in the same shade from Jaeger. It’ll look great with the Zatchels’ burgundy micro saddle bag that should be arriving in the post any day now!!

I hope you enjoyed having a look at my Polyvore sets.  It was fun putting them together and will be doing other themes over the coming weeks.
